A quick glance. A smile. Nothing more. Temari felt the wind ruffle her hair as he passed. His scent. His dark eyes, and wonderful hair. Every last breathtaking detail. His laziness being his only vice. And sometimes greatest strenght. She smiled, and started walking. Following his every move closely. His posture, his way of walking... She caught every detail.
She kept her distance. Not wanting him to notice her. He walked out of town. Into the woods. Where she knew he liked to wander to be alone with his thoughts. But this time, she'd join him. How long had it lasted? This obsession... She had no idea. After their encounter at the Chuunin exam she had been curious. He was so lazy, but still capable of defeating her. 'Cause he had. Everyone knew that. Even though he had given up, giving her the official victory, everyone considered him the winner. She was no exception. After that, it had spiraled out of control... Her need to see him every day, her strange fantasies surrounding him and a deep desire to figure out if he felt the same way. Ask him? NEVER! Her pride was hurting just thinking about it...
The forest swallowed the man she was following. He became one with the shadows. His clans weapon. And dearest friend. Her steps made no sound as the trees surrounded her. Even though the sun was shining bright, she had a hard time seeing the man in front of her. She hid behind every tree, careful not to loose the sight of him. A couple of times she was about to trip in her enormous fan, but every time she pulled through without a sound.
A twig snapped, and she froze. He had stopped, a few meters away from her. His glare piercing the ground. Then he turned around. His black eyes fixated on her. She tried to move away, but her feet was glued to the ground. Blood rushed to her face as she realized the situation. He started moving towards her. A soft smirk appeared on his face. A shadowy string was stretching from his shadow. She knew far too well where it ended. How long had he known she was following him? Anger and embarrassment struggled for release in her body but she couldn't move.
He stopped right in front of her. He reached out and petted her on the head before he leaned in and planted a kiss on her cheek. He laughed. A short, lazy laugh. And then he turned around and started walking back, shaking his head. Out of the forest. Leaving her. Anger entered her mind. Now battling with the complete confused that struck her the moment his lips touched her skin. How dare he leave me here!? How dare he kiss me!? Why wouldn't he kiss me again!? Kiss me Shikamaru, kiss me again, please!
It took some time before the shadowbind was weak enough for her to break free. She started the journey back. A smile spread across her face as the wind blew and ruffled the shadowy trees.

What Lasts Forever
Shoulders slumped, he trudged forward. Heard footsteps, saw feet, didn’t look up. Then he made contact with the body that was flying toward him and fell over backwards straight on his back.
"Ouch.”
The girl stood up, looked at him.
“Watch where you’re going!”
She picked up her books, dashed off again.
He couldn’t get the sight of her, blonde pigtails and all, out of his mind.

He was sucked into his thoughts, not paying attention to the world around him. His best friend walked beside him, eyeing his tray of food as if it was the most heavenly thing in the world.

I rolled over and sighed in relief when I realize it was all just a dream. It was all just a dream... She wasn't stabbed. She isn't... how troublesome! Why would I care what happens to Temari? It's not like I have a crush on her or anything, I thought when getting up to look in the mirror. I don't, right? I questioned my appearance and shook my head. No way.
I lied back down on my bed and replayed my dream. The dream has been reoccuring every night now.
I was walking towards Temari and her two brothers in Suna's hidden village of the sand when they're voices began to

ShikaTema: Sunrise
I got up, put my jacket on, and started to the park to meet her. Man, getting up this early is troublesome. But it was all worth it to see her there.
"Hi, Shikamaru," she said, waving,
"Hey, Temari. How are you doing, love?"
"Now that you're here, I feel great," she replied. "But let's not waste anymore time, shall we?"
I nodded and we sat down on a bench to watch the sunrise. Why else do you think we woke up this early? She snuggled up to me and rested her head on my shoulder, smiling at me. I smiled back and put my arm around her.
"So, Shika, was getting up this early too troublesome for you?" Temari asked, giggling. I'll admit,
